Ortega finishes third at Pueblo Centennial Invite

ALAMOSA – The Alamosa High School girls golf team finished in seventh place at the Pueblo Centennial Invitational Monday at Walking Stick Golf Course.

The Lady Mean Moose scored 303 strokes and were led by Morgan Ortega who finished in third place with an 87. Taybor Wiedeman finished in a tie for 25th with a 101, Jayla Quintana tied for 41st with a 115, and Kiara Gallegos tied for 43rd with a 116.

Pueblo West won the tournament with 260. Cheyenne Mountain was second with 271, and Pine Creek was third with 273.

Pueblo Central’s Sofia Contreras was the medalist with a 75.

Alamosa and Monte Vista will next compete at the Salida Invitational on Thursday.
