ALAMOSA — Athena Jasmine Gonzales celebrates her first birthday today.

Athena was born on September 21, 2017, in Alamosa to Maria Elena and Benigno Gonzales of Denver. She has two brothers, Damain, 12, and Kristian, 10, and a big sister Azalea, 8.

Maternal grandmother is Teresa Herrera of Alamosa, and paternal grandparents are Diane and Benny Gonzales of Seven Mile Plaza, Monte Vista.

Athena will be celebrating her first birthday enjoying ice cream and cake with family and friends.
