Alamosa County Sheriff’s Deputy Gary Spangler and Reserve Deputy Mike Adcock are investigating a burglary and theft from the Larry and Heidi Richardson home in the 7000 block of Adams Ln. It was reported to deputies that when family members had returned to their home they found a Pepsi bottle on their kitchen counter that had not been there when they left. In addition the family of nonsmokers, reported the home was filled with the smell of cigarette smoke. A number of items including digital cameras, a video camera, sunglasses and an I-Pod were reported missing. Evidence was collected at the scene and has been forwarded to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation for further processing. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Alamosa County Sheriff’s Office or San Luis Valley Crimestoppers.

At 4:45 p.m. Deputy Spangler was dispatched to 540 Haniver St. to investigate a complaint of harassing telephone calls. Benjamin Clouse, 33, reported he had been receiving unwanted repeat phone calls from a tele marketer who had become vulgar and abusive. Clouse reported the incident to the authorities as directed by the telephone company so that a request for a line trap could be filed. The case is closed pending information received by the phone company.
At 2:50 p.m. Deputy Payne was dispatched to 1315 17th St., for a possible warrant arrest. At that location the deputy contacted Shane Robert Ford, 19, of La Junta, Colo. The deputy confirmed the status of the warrant from Huerfano County for failure to appear and Ford was placed into custody and transported to the Alamosa County Detention Center for booking.
