Ursula M. Romo, 83



MONTE VISTA — Monte Vista, Colo. resident Ursula M. Romo, 83, passed away July 24, 2009. Ursula was born Nov. 29, 1925 in Arroyo Hondo, N.M. the daughter of Ruben Medina and Rosaura Vigil Medina. She enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her loving family.

Survivors include one daughter Betty (Gabriel) Trujillo of Monte Vista; sons Ron (Simonita) Romo and LeRoy (Joan) Romo both of San Antonio, Texas; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; four sisters Della (Jim) Smith, Nobella (Elmer) Mondragon both of Pueblo, Colo., Beatrice Gonzales and Juanita (Manuel) Valerio both of Arroyo Hondo; sister-in-law Juanita Romo of Center, Colo; two brothers Tony (Odelia) Medina and Juanito (Beatrice) Medina both of Arroyo Hondo as well as by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ursula was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leopoldo Romo, son Clarence Romo, brothers Onesimo Herrera, Celestino Medina and Ernesto Herrera.

A memorial service will be held on Wed., July 29, 2009 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Monte Vista. Arrangements are in care of Romero Funeral Home of Monte Vista.
