Troy Carl Hansen, 85



LA JARA — Troy Carl Hansen, 85, passed away on March 27, 2008, in the Conejos County Hospital in La Jara, Colo. after a long illness. He was born to Theadore and Elnora Hansen July 26, 1922, in Sanford, Colo.

He was married and sealed to Lena Mae Morgan in the L.D.S. Salt Lake City Temple on November 29, 1948.

Troy served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Brazil during WWII. He received an honorable discharge.

His occupations included farming, mechanics and heavy equipment operator. He loved fishing, hunting and pulling taffy candy to share with others.

Troy is survived by his wife; sister Opal Morgan of Citrus Heights, Calif.; children Hal (Deanne) Hansen of Orem, Utah and Joan (Leonard) Snider of Heber, Utah; by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Earl Jensen, two sisters, Marge Jamison and Bertha Hargrave and four grandchildren.

Graveside services will be on Mon., March 31, 2008 at 12 p.m. noon at the Sanford Cemetery. Family and friends may call Monday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the Rogers’ Mortuary, 205 State Ave., Alamosa.
